20 episodes in, and here's what I've learned: You 20 episodes in, and here's what I've learned:

You don't have to be ready to start something.

I wasn't "ready" when I started this podcast. I wasn't sure what I was doing. I didn't have it all figured out. Heck! I'm still learning... but I just started.

And that one decision changed a lot for me.

In this week's episode of In the EllaMents, I'm reflecting on what 20 episodes taught me about starting something before you're ready, building in public, and trusting yourself even when you have no idea what you're doing.

If you've been waiting to feel ready before you start whatever it may be, this episode is for you.

You don't have to wait. Listen. You might need the permission to just start.

You can't do it all. Not at the same intensity. N You can't do it all.

Not at the same intensity. Not all at the same time. Not every season of your life.

And honestly? That's not a failure. That's just reality.

But we've been conditioned to believe that if we just work hard enough, have the right systems, and manage our time better, we can hold it all together without burning out.

And then when we can't, we think we're not trying hard enough.

Here's what I learned this summer: the problem isn't that I need a better system. The problem is that I was trying to operate at full capacity while carrying responsibilities that are literally impossible to carry at full capacity.

So maybe you're feeling that too. Maybe you're running on fumes. Maybe you're burnt out. And maybe you're looking at your beautiful life and feeling nothing because you're just completely depleted.

In this week's episode of In the EllaMents, I'm talking about what that actually means and how to make active choices about what you're going to carry instead of defaulting to carrying it all.

If you're in a season where you're stretched thin, this is for you. Listen. You might need the permission to do less.

Anyone else relate? 😅🫠 The reality of life is tha Anyone else relate? 😅🫠

The reality of life is that it’s going to app and flow. Some weeks, months, years are going to feel crazier than others. But what I want to remind you (and myself 😂) is that you don’t HAVE to do it all.

I know, I know totally obvious. But if you’re currently in a season where you’re feeling stretched thin, the latest episode of In the EllaMents was made for you.

Give it a listen at my link in bio.

Here's what I realized about capacity: It's not un Here's what I realized about capacity:
It's not unlimited, and it changes with the seasons of life. That might seem obvious to most people.

But what isn't always so apparent is what you are giving up in return. For me, it's my own goals. My personal projects. The stuff I actually want to work on that gets pushed to the back burner.

Sometimes it's your energy for things you love. Sometimes it's showing up for yourself the way you show up for everyone else.

And then we act like that's a failure. Like if we could just manage our time better or work harder, we wouldn't have to sacrifice anything.

Unfortunately, that's not how capacity works. It's about making active choices about what you're willing to let go of right now.

Not forever. Just right now, in this season.

In this week's episode of In the EllaMents, I'm talking about what that actually looks like in real life and how to make those choices intentionally instead of defaulting to burnout.

Listen if you've been wondering what you have to sacrifice to make it all work.
