Two Years in Business: Lessons, Growth, and Gratitude
When I first started my business two years ago, I’ll admit, it felt like a leap into the unknown.
I’ve always considered myself a calculated risk-taker. You know the type—follow the path that makes the most sense: go to college, get a stable job, build a retirement plan. But deciding to invest in myself and build a business that relied solely on my skills and determination? That was a huge risk—one that didn’t necessarily fit into my “calculated” plan.
Yet, here I am, two years later, grateful for the leap I took and proud of how far I’ve come.
The Journey: From Idea to Impact
Starting this business wasn’t just about chasing a dream—it was about creating something meaningful. I wanted to build a brand that:
- Allowed me to help other business owners find success.
- Fueled my passion for marketing and strategy.
- Gave me the freedom to build a life that works for me and my family.
The first year was all about finding my footing. There were late nights, countless learning curves, and moments of self-doubt. But there were also small wins, incredible clients, and lessons learned that pushed me forward.
Year two has been about growth—both personally and professionally. I’ve refined my skills, taken on new challenges, and connected with amazing business owners who inspire me daily.
Lessons Learned Along the Way
Running your own business is no walk in the park, but it’s the most rewarding journey I’ve ever been on. Here are a few lessons I’ve learned over the past two years:
- Consistency is key. Whether it’s showing up for your clients, your business, or yourself, staying consistent is a game-changer.
- It’s okay to pivot. Not everything will work the first time, and that’s okay. Learning to adapt has been a big part of my growth.
- Your community matters. Surrounding myself with supportive clients, friends, and mentors has made all the difference.
Gratitude: The Heart of It All
What stands out the most as I reflect on these two years is gratitude.
- To my clients: You’re the reason I get to do what I love every day. Thank you for trusting me with your businesses and allowing me to be part of your journey.
- To my community: Whether you’ve been here since day one or just joined, your support, engagement, and encouragement mean the world.
- To my family: You’re my biggest cheerleaders and the foundation that keeps me grounded.
Looking Ahead: What’s Next?
While I’m proud of everything I’ve accomplished over these past two years, I know there’s so much more ahead. I’m excited to continue helping businesses grow, taking on new challenges, and sharing everything I learn along the way.
Here’s to more growth, more connection, and more impact in the years to come!
